As the nation continues to grapple with growing disillusionment in its leadership at various levels, a leading conference on transformational change is poised to inspire a new generation of Ghanaian leaders. The 8th annual Live2Lead Leadership Conference – organised by the CTL Africa Leadership team and it’s partners – is set to build up on previous editions which have seen over 4,500 participants attend.
This year’s edition will be held in Accra on Friday, October 4, 2024 at the UPSA Auditorium, with the theme ‘Leading for Transformation: Renewed Minds, Changed Lives’.
“Everything rises and falls on leadership,” said Dr. Yaw Perbi, a leadership coach and principal at PELÉ. “Leadership itself rises and falls on the extent of transformation of the leader. It takes deeply transformed leaders to deeply transform anything.”
“Our youth are in despair, and they are on the verge of giving up on many things,” lamented Samuel Ayim, the CEO of CTL Africa Leadership and a certified John Maxwell coach. “If we do not change direction, we may not like what we get. That is why it is so critical that we come together to redefine what true leadership looks like.”
For the past eight years, the Live2Lead conference has brought together leaders from across Ghana’s private, public, and civic sectors to learn from renowned international speakers and connect with like-minded influencers.
This year’s event promises to be the most impactful yet, as the organizers seek to equip attendees with the mindset and skills to drive meaningful change in their organizations and communities. The conference will feature a lineup of global thought leaders, including John Maxwell, Malcolm Gladwell, Chaunté Lowe, as well as Keynote Speakers in Ghana, Kwame Pianim, David Ofosu-Dorte and Akosua Bame who will share their insights on topics ranging from renewing one’s mindset to leveraging leadership as a tool for societal impact.
Mr. Ayim stressed that the Live2Lead conference is not just for those in formal leadership positions, but for anyone with the desire to make a positive difference in their sphere of influence. “Leadership is not about titles or positions. It is about your ability to transform lives and shape the future. And that’s something we all have the power to do,” he said.
Emmaline Datey, the founder of ICS Africa and another executive coach, echoed Mr. Ayim’s sentiments, emphasising the urgency of the moment. “This is an emergency call. We need to shift our mindsets, one step and one action at a time, to begin the process of recovery and reclaiming the promise of our nation,” she said.
The Live2Lead conference will offer a mix of keynote presentations, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities, all designed to inspire participants to become agents of transformation in their respective domains.
Whether attendees are seasoned corporate leaders, passionate youth activists, or aspiring entrepreneurs, the organizers are confident that the experience will leave a lasting impact. “When leadership fails, people die. But we have the power to change that narrative. By coming together, sharing ideas, and committing to a new way of leading, we can light the way for a brighter future for Ghana and all of Africa,” financial consultant and John Maxwell Coach, Mrs. Doris Ahiati of Crescendo Consult added.
Registration for the Live2Lead 2024 conference is now open, with both in-person and virtual attendance options available at www.live2leadghana.com or on +233-55-666-7718. As the nation looks to the next generation of leaders, the stage is set for a transformative event that could forever change the course of Ghana’s history.
