Reflecting upon the biblical narrative of Leah and Rachel, as recounted in Genesis 29:31-35, I find a profound lesson. The scripture says, “When the Lord saw that Leah was not loved, He enabled her to conceive, but Rachel remained childless.” Despite Rachel being the favoured wife, it was Leah, the less loved, who God chose to bless with children first. This divine intervention illustrates a greater plan beyond our human comprehension. I often recall this story, along with my guiding scripture for 2023, Exodus 14:14, which states, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Even in moments of resentment, when I may express a desire to retaliate, the truth is, I prefer to extend acts of kindness. This is not for the sake of divine rewards, but for two fundamental reasons: Firstly, I have the wisdom to understand the value of goodwill; and secondly, I am at peace knowing that God is watching over everything.
Walking this path is undoubtedly challenging, but the eternal victory that comes from emulating Christ’s way is invaluable. May we not let petty disputes obstruct our journey towards experiencing the rapture.
Today, let us earnestly pray – Lord, help me to improve myself and endow me with the wisdom to serve as an honourable vessel in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Amen to the prayers.
God bless you more
Amen. Thank you.
