Threat Combat trains 313 students in Cyber Forensics: Calls for more cyber forensic professionals

In a very comprehensive 3 days virtual skills training that left a lasting imprint on 313 eager minds, Threat Combat recently concluded a very insightful training program in the arts of Memory/Malware Forensics. This wasn’t just a training program; it was a journey into the cyber realms, meticulously crafted by Threat Combat’s expert team for the cybersecurity enthusiasts and professionals of Ghana.

The first part of the training concluded in December. This part involved the theoretical aspect of the course. After which participants were given resources and materials to set-up and prepare for the second part in January.

The second part was a fully practical training. Students were training on standard forensic investigative approach to tackle cyber incident responses involving Malware analysis and subsequently Memory forensics. Several use cases and real-world examples were used to train participants.

After the second part of the training, participants were left on their own to carry out forensic investigations based on what have been taught and produce reports. Participants were supervised during their projects to make sure students understood what they were doing.

Team lead of the Threat Combat team, Mr Daniel Kwaku Ntiamoah Addai, expressed his satisfaction with the training and encourage students and professionals to look at career areas in Cyber security, Cyber incident response and digital forensics as it has become and global need and a very well-paying career field.
