Telecommunication service provider, Telecel Ghana has celebrated Ghanaian youth on International Youth Day, calling for connection among communities.
According to the company, communities that connect usually thrive, which is why it is calling for increased connections among various communities in the country. The call for connectivity by the company is not out of place as it prides itself on “Connecting Energies.”
Telecel Ghana has over the years undertaken a lot of programmes that help in the development of the youth, with one of its major projects being its Grow Girls in STEM initiative which is empowering young girls to explore their passion for science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The company has also contributed immensely to the training of young girls to acquire technology and digital skills over the years.
International Youth Day is celebrated every year on August 12. it is an occasion earmarked to celebrate the potential, accomplishments, and contributions of young people across the world. The IYD is not just about discussing the difficulties that youth face but also about celebrating their role as indispensable partners in building a promising future.
