Africa Data Protection Association launches first e-learning platform

The Africa Data Protection Association has launched the first e-learning portal focused on data protection in Africa. The platform aims to raise awareness of data protection standards across the continent.

Despite the growing importance of personal data privacy due to the rise of digital technology and increased use of online services, many individuals and businesses in Africa still lack the knowledge and skills needed to comply with existing regulations.

The first course, “Introduction to Personal Data Protection in Africa,” provides a comprehensive overview of the history of personal data protection on the continent, highlighting the challenges and practices specific to each region. Learners will also gain an understanding of key data protection concepts and the current laws and regulations in place. The e-learning platform is designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their initial level of knowledge.

Available in both French and English, the e-learning platform serves a wide range of users, including students, business leaders, and public sector employees. With its interactive courses, case studies, and online quizzes, learners can progress at their own pace.
